List,
Thanks for all of the great answers to my questions about the DL&W FTs.
The reason I asked was that Stewart Hobbies is releasing a DL&W FT A-B in freight paint scheme
and I wanted to find out what numbers could be used on it.
All of the pictures I could find of the 651-654 series engines showed the passenger (GMY) paint
scheme. I was not aware of the repaint mandate. Since that was in the 1956 - 1957 timeframe,
would it be safe to assume that for the 1954 timeframe that all FTs would still be in the
freight paint scheme?
The FE13-DD and FE13-D nomenclature was from the locomotive tables on George's EL site and I
wasn't sure if there would be any visible differences between the 601-604 series and 651-654
series engines (other than the obvious A-B-A and A-B configuration).
Since the 651-654 series were to be pushers, did they have a light on the back of the B unit
and if so, where would it be located? Thanks again for all of your answers.
