Will,
Joe and I were also at the meeting you refer to and
it appears you don't know when to stop and change your tactics. IF the new
membership issue is indeed your concern {specifically young members} you need to
volunteer to become the "new young
membership" recruiter. As someone has stated no young people would even know
about this railroad if it wasn't for either their older male relatives or
friends, unless they are a history buffs. How do people join the historical
society? Isn't it normally by personal contact???
Have you actually brought anybody into the society
yourself, and how hard was that???? Volunteer as the recruitment zsar and see
for yourself before you take everybody to task for not doing things your way.
Janet
Lofland.
