The one-time through Chicago-Cincinnati passenger route involving the CH&D 
and the 
Monon via Indianapolis lasted into the 1920s.

In the 1950s the Erie and Monon shared a passenger station in Hammond, 
Indiana.  At one point Erie and Monon had some passenger cars on display there, I 
think as part of the Erie's centennial celebration.

The Monon sometimes borrowed "foreign" passenger equipment from the other 
railroads that shared Dearborn Station (especially GTW cars) - does anyone know 
if Erie or EL borrowed Monon cars?  Or if the Monon borrowed Erie or EL 
passenger cars?
