RECOMMENDED READING.........................
I just got my copy of this book recommended by Pat McKnight -
Steamtown Supt. Great stuff AND it's got some of my fotos of the final days
of the EL passenger service.
I first met the author as an undergrad at SUNY Binghamton where I was
going to school on the GI Bill while working on the ELs' Syracuse Division.
Al really got into RRs and one of the chapters describes riding #6 with our
girlfriends as we descended the Poconos into the Delaware river valley &
rode thru the watergap. What an experience.
Regards to all,
Walter E. Smith
