(erielack) Two postcard views

This photo doesn't look quite right. For starters I thought the JSCR
facilities were north (actually NE) of the Manhattan bridge, from which the
photo was supposedly taken. Also the proportions of the boats, floats etc
seem off.

Second, a modern card of the Brooklyn Bridge from Brooklyn dating between
July 1963 (ZIP codes were introduced) and 1967 (the Singer Building was
demolished) shows the Jay Street Connecting Railroad's harborside
facilities, two tugs with carfloats (one heading down the East River,
another up), and another small ship going up. Behind the farther
carfloats, a large ship is berthed at what's now South Street Seaport.
More carfloats are visible to the left of the bridge's Brooklyn tower.
Through the diagonal stays on the left side, you can barely see the Statue
of Liberty. A real time-piece!
