(erielack) MORE E-L VETS RETIRING

In the past few months the ranks of working former E-L people has grow 
thinner by several.

November 30th saw E-L Engineer William G. "Mongo" Hann make his last run on 
NJ Transit followed on December 27th by Engineer James J. "Jimbo" Atkinson. 
January 2nd saw Rich Byrne, a former E-L policeman, retire from NJT's Electric 
Traction Division and this past Friday, the 13th, was Conductor Paul Marsh's 
last run on NJT as well although he won't be officially retired until he finishes 
his vacation later this month.

The next few years will see almost all the remaining former E-L men pull the 
pin save a couple who hired on just prior to Conrail. The same goes for most 
of the former Penn Central and CNJ guys as well.
