A neat shot indeed..this is at Erie's small W.3rd St. yard (approx. halfway 
between E.55th St. and Riverbed).  This area was initially a marshalling 
yard to sort mty and loaded hoppors coming up from the Hulett unloaders at 
Riverbed, but was eventually downgraded when the larger N.Randall yard 
several miles to the east was placed into service

The view looks northeast up the Cuyahoga River, with downtown seen in the 
background. The area on both sides of the river at this point is known as 
'the Flats'.  Another 2-3 miles to the left where the Erie unit is would 
bring you down to Riverbed and the northern terminus of the Erie's Cleveland 
branch.

The large overhead bridge in the immediate foreground above is the NKP 
(today NS's Chicago-Buffalo mainline (e/b being to the right).

The bascule bridge in the distance was a former Big 4 branch that served 
some area industries, and at one time interchanged w/the B&O.  Although 
service on the branch died out w/PC, the bridge stayed until CR removed it 
(possibly due to it being a 'navigation hazard')...
