Re: (erielack) Norwich map, circa 1976



 I haven't the faintest idea what the S is for. It is an S, there's no Route
5 through there at all. Perhaps Art could elaborate further on that since he
has the maps. I don't imagine there could have been that many local heroes,
the town isn't that big. Of course they have their share of men who've
fallen in battle, and a monument or two to respect them. I'm guessing
Norwich was even much smaller than before the railroads came. This was
probably their way of showing gratitude for the new economic growth that the
lines undoubtably provided. Todd
