(erielack) (OT) Glorifying graffiti

As far as scale modeling is concerned, graffiti is legitimate. People model what they see, and in this sense graffiti can be regarded as a form of weathering. However, I don't like the flavor of this ad one bit. These are collector items and I think they do cross the line and attempt to legitimize it as "artistic expression". This subject is covered by the current edition of Trains. While there's no denying the talent of some of these people, I agree with the magazine author's position that RR graffiti constitutes trespassing and vandalism. The RR's expend a lot of resources restoring defaced equipment, and in the end it costs all of us.

So we've gotten to the point where we're glorifying freight car graffiti and their artists???
