Re: (erielack) RE: Silk Mills and Coal

Frank,

The mill is the Grove Silk Mill, located on of course, Grove St. in Dunmore,
just below the baseball stadium. Tony also worked there at one point. It
appears that virtually every teenager in Dunmore probably worked there at one point
or another. It's still there now performs a different operation. Tony will
know what it is.

I've emailed with Chuck on a number of occasions. He is extremely knowlegable
about our home area. He is from South Scranton. We both graduated from
Scranton Technical HS, he quite a few years before me.

He can give you countless recollections of railroading in our home area. I'd
love to meet him and just sit back.

Yeh, when I get back to LA and win the Academy Award, you'll be sitting there
too. My acceptance speech will be simple:

"I'm from Scranton. I owe it all to the man in the silk mill shitter and my
buddy Frank can attest to this."

Rick
