Heard on the news this morning that as part of GM's filing for bankruptcy,
they will be shutting down the plant in Mansfield, technically Ontario.
With  this closure, some 1200 jobs will be lost.

On the railroad aspect, this  is the only customer on the former Erie
tracks that NS serves. When the plant  shuts down it looks like another piece of
the old Erie will be taken up. Sad to  see the changing economy hurting so
many jobs...
