Hi folks,

Mike Dodge and I had a chance to speak with Steve Hepler, the photographer
of this "mystery" location shot posted earlier:

Steve remembered it was near Lake Junction, as they'd always go to hang out
there and see the ES-99 come through for their CNJ "fix." Then Mike pointed
out the headlight on the SD45 was on... and then it all started to fall into
place...

What we're looking at here IS train CS-9, but it's making a set-out at Lake
Junction for the CNJ (this would explain the loaded lumber car - it IS going
to a consignee in NJ on the CNJ). Under the lumber car, you can see the
rails of the Chester Branch peeling away from the main. CS-9 regularly
worked Lake Junction, so this is the road power, after having run around the
train to grab the CNJ cut from the rear (which is why the headlight is on -
you can see the engineer in the cab)

The bridge abutments under the EL boxcar are for the Mill Road overpass (I
totally forgot about that bridge!). Just around the curve in the distance is
the straightaway that runs along West Dewey Avenue in Wharton.

We also matched up the treebank on the left with Mike's photo of the U34CH
he posted earlier.

So, we're fairly confident this is at Chester Jct. in Wharton, NJ. I've
annotated a satellite view (attached) with a green arrow showing where the
picture was taken and the direction we're looking at.
