Yes, the Budd diner is EL 770 (DL&W 470) and of course the Erie modernized
heavyweight is EL 741. Both cars are just about ready to move.
We expect to have a major announcement on our other diner, DL&W 469 in a
couple of weeks and followed by an announcement on these two diners shortly
after that. We believe this will finally be the year that dinner in the
diner returns to the Erie Lackawanna. Diner 469 is in excellent condition
(see attached photos) while 770 has had a hard post-EL life on the circus
train.
We will be launch a major fundraising effort in the near future, plus we
can use your volunteer labor if you can get to Scranton.
More details as soon as we can release them.
