Here is a photo I won on ebay a few years ago. It shows the westbound #5,
the "Lake Cities", westbound leaving Kent, Ohio on the morning of January
5, 1970. Note that the sleeper is still on the train. Normally it was
taken off at Youngstown but since there was no more eastbound #6 to pick it
up the car deadheaded the rest of the way to Chicago. In the same way the
diner did not get dropped at Huntington, IN.
