Yes -- among other things, anthracite off the L&NE to Old
Company Lehigh dealers on the NJ&NY. Other freight as
well -- but the interrelationship among the Erie, the NYS&W
and NJ&NY was always interesting, as the NJ&NY Trustee (as
well as NYS&W Trustees) were always looking for ways the
Erie was screwing them.

In any case, here's the NYS&W page from the 1964 ORER. It
shows Bergen Jct via the PRR at Marion Interchange, and
Dundee with the "Note 1" that Paul thought funny.

Actually by 1964, there were no more track connections at
North Bergen or at Granton Junction with the Northern, so
that's wrong, Note 1 or not . The NJ&NY interchange at
Hackensack was gone by then as well. The late Jim Warsher
had some tales to tell about that one, as he went to school
nearby.

But then, looking at the E-L pages, it should be noted that
in 1964 they were still interchanging with both the Chicago
aurora and Elgin and the Chicago, North Shore and
Milwaukee -- and as much as some fans might say that
"proves" the Insull railways were still running, it simply
means the ORER is an approximation at all times .

Cheers,
Jim
