Also found in the scrapbook was this photo of the Lackawanna's high bridge on fire in July of 1913, take a look at the crowd gathered to watch the spectacular blaze. I've heard this happened to the Lackawanna's railroad bridge over the Passaic River a few times in its existence The road below would be McBride Ave. You can see a fire wagon is arriving at the scene, and the wagon to the left has some kind of odd scaffold mounted on it, any clue what its purpose would be? At the time of the photo you are looking at the "West Park" section of Little Falls Township. In 1914 it would break away and become West Paterson, New Jersey.
