Here's a 1915 Sanborn of the connection between the DL&W and Erie at Bath.
Unfortunately the area to the east is not covered so we can't see if there was
a facing point switch from the Erie to the B&H east of the DL&W-Erie
connection. A trailing point switch from the Erie to the B&H is visible on the
left side of the map. The B&H heads north to Hammondsport a half mile to the
east of Lackawanna Ave, off the map skirting the eastern edge of Bath.

Was the connection between the DL&W and Erie (labeled "Siding" on the map)
considered to be the DL&W-B&H connection or did the DL&W cross the Erie with a
diamond to get to the B&H at one time?

Because of the Rt. 17/I-86 construction that obliterated the DL&W ROW in Bath,
the area shown in this map is radically different today. It appears that the
current line through town uses a mixture of Erie Rochester Division and old
B&H ROW.

My grandparents had a summer house on the eastern shore of Keuka Lake just
south of the bluff. I vaguely remember shopping in Bath with my grandmother in
the 1960's, but we usually just went to Hammondsport. Unfortunately I don't
remember the B&H at all from way back then.
