Jim,

What a great article. In all my years of researching and collecting, I have
never seen this structure before. I suspect that it was located at the west
end of "SK" Yard, as Clinton Street crossed the yard at grade (later it went
under the tracks). Looking at an 1894 map I found a "Clinton Station" where
I suspect the trestle was. Henry always comes up with a map so he might
really pin it down.

About 1900 Erie had large ground storage of coal at SK Yard. See my article
in the Diamond on East Buffalo Yard. Attached is a photo which I didn't use
in the article. That white GRAIN boxcar was probably in the yard next to the
trestle. Less than a half mile down the track the Erie interchanged with the
Buffalo Creek (the Creek came into the westend of SK at times) to pick up
these grain cars and take them to the waterfront elevators.
