"WadsworthOH_late50s_RBrannigan_JMayerColl_03w2.jpg" - image/jpeg, 1000x780 (24bit)

I thought I would share this photo I recently salvaged from an old Brownie
negative given to me years ago.

This train was headed East, and is working its way up the grade from
Wadsworth to Silver Creek. It was powered by Geeps.
I believe this to be around 1959. The photographer was Rick Brannigan.

I shared it with Paul Brezicki, and he had this to say about it:

>This is a 24' single-axle "pup" trailer of early 1950's vintage. They were
>common in TOFC service because you could load a pair on the 50'-53'
>fishbelly flats that were the predominant TOFC railcar at the time. The
>photo is premerger. Erie acquired the 75' flats in 1954, and in the photo
>they have yet to be retrofitted with ACF model A hitches, which was
>performed by MDV in 1960.
