"bar car interior" is just that! A view of the little "bar kiosk" that
was installed inside the 1600-series "bar cars." Anyone know what was
across the aisle? (another bar kiosk?)

The snack bar cars were one my favorite E-L curiosities and a topic that
comes up here occasionally. I remember at least one train a night through
Park Ridge on the PV Line used to have a car lettered as one in the late
70's/ early 80's. I used to ask my father about the snack bar, as he would
often be on that train, and he said that it wasn't open. Attached is a scan
of an E-L Snack Bar car menu that was emailed to me by a contributor to my
webpage-in-progress, unsure of exact date or line, could be PV, could be
Main Line, probably early 70's. What is interesting, aside from the great
prices, are that drinks are listed with no brands, like "Beer" for .65,
"Premium Beer" for .75 and "Ale" for .75. Anyone know what brands they
were?

Also attached is a scan of a Snack Bar Car in storage in Hoboken.
