Not the time of the E-L era, but the recent Diamond article
on Erie's 28th Street terminal lists the larger Erie Pier
stations where produce was brought daily. Attached is a
copy of a neat graphic from a 1914 Harbor Development
Commission report which shows all the piers used by all
the railroads in NYC, together with bar graphs showing the
volume of carloads of all types at each station.

The online ELHTS collection of Erie/DL&W/E-L employee
magazines has the June 1929 Erie magazine with articles on
the cantalope trade giving interesting details of how the
daily sales took place at:
