Sorry to be late with these, but....I hope Paul can post them if of
interest.

Went up in the Finger Lakes over 4th of July weekend. Drove back some of
the way on Rte. 17C, then down the Delaware. Here are couple of photos.

First one is a NS work train at Nichols, west of Owego. We saw no other
trains the whole timewe were up there. I think the whole line was still
OOS because of the flooding. Just on the other side of the crossing
there was a highway work crew operating a huge crane, replacing the
washed out road bridge over the Chemung.

The second is a group of NJT Comet cars sitting on the siding at
Narrowsburg. We had driven across from Great Bend, PA, past the flooding
near Starrucca. There was another group of cars near the tower near
Lanesboro. Couldn't stop to get a photo though.

The flooding was mind-boggling. The town of Owego was just a wreck.
Everything near the river was covered with mud, trucks everywhere,
people wandering around in a daze. On the Delaware there were canoes
stuck 30 feet up in the trees.
