A sad loss to the EL community. We were fortunate to get one last article
from Bill in the most recent "Diamond."

Bill was very prolific with respect to the EL, having written several books
(many long out of print, sadly) and many articles. His knowledge of railroad
history was great and wide-spread. And his skills at a photographer matched
his research and history talent. He will be missed.

I've attached one of my favorite Bill Young "poignant" shots. He wrote that
he went out to capture this CX-99 in his "primary hometown" of Susquehanna
on the last day of the EL, known full well that when it arrived in Chicago,
it would be a Conrail train.
