Paul,

Attached is a photo I took at South Shore Rd near Cranberry Lake at the time the Sussex Branch was being removed in July, 1977.
As you can see, the sign was in very rough shape.
Also, the Lowenthal & Greenberg book, "The Lackawanna Railroad in Northwest New Jersey" has a photo at Butzville on the Old Road
which includes the same style crossbuck.

Chuck,

Good catch! You're right, the typeface even looks the same! Anyone else
have other DL&W crossbuck references?
