A few more tidbits from the motive power department's blueprint book, starting with the big hudsons (4-6-4s), then the 4-8-2s and finally the best of them all, the 1600s. I've included one of the many pages of specs in this little booklet - great if you had one of these to maintain or repair. Ah, we can only dream, and sometimes I do - think back to being in the foreman's office in Conklin, NY or Syracuse, NY listening to the big, old, regulator clock ticking away ......of course, these engines were gone in 1962-63 but they HAD been there & the older men knew & ran them & occasionally talked about them. As a child, I'd followed many of them on my bicycle when they came through my hometown on the 'Bloom' and of course the big treat was to go to Scranton & see 'the BIG TIME'.
Regards to all
