(rshsdepot) Wharton, TX

-From Railway Preservation News...

The City of Wharton and a group of railroad buffs are looking into restoring
the SP-TNO Depot there, built circa 1915.  Information is being sought that
will help bring the Depot back to it's original 1915 look. The interior was
significantly altered sometime prior to 1953.  Interior pictures are being
sought prior to the lowering of the ceiling and addition of office walls.
Any pictures, no mater how small, or old, could help make the restoration as
complete and accurate as possible.  The exterior of the station is in good,
original condition, and plans call for restoring the roof to its original
clay tile covering.
