The bucket/claw equipment is getting into place to start the demolition.

The first bite into the canopy and that was it!
At 7:45am the equipment made the first bite into the west canopy and that
was all that was needed. The building twisted and trembled for a few seconds
and then it came crashing to the ground. Everyone present was amazed at how
rapidly the building disintegrated. Thus, 120 years or so of serving the
community, the East Williston Station building came to a dusty end. Another
chapter in LIRR history closes.
