RE: (erielack) Train symbols (was: Erie Lackawanna (2))



Here's a theory: In the latter years did this train consist of cars for
RDG(Rupert) and PC(Northumberland) interchange? If so the train would have
gone only as far east as Scranton on the main line as indicated in your time
table.

But no one has yet come up with a theory as to why the employee timetable
only shows this as a Marion-Scranton train? Odd for a train that is a
"Pennsylvania-New Jersey" run!

Also, what was the difference between this and the SC-8? (other than the
fact that one used an Erie-style symbol and the other used a DL&W-style
symbol)
