Bob -- count again.  New York City is larger in population than Los Angeles and Chicago combined, along with at least eight other CITIES. Area doesn't count.

If you talk Metro Region, the 35 county, Tri-state New York region holds at least 10% of the nation's population; the Richmond-Portland megalopolis takes it to at least 25%.

As many people live in Bergen County, right across the Hudson from New York City, as live in New Hampshire -- and that's twice as many as Alaska.

The real wonder is that it all works!

Ricky, I don't think you live in the largest city either by population  or by area.  The former is Los Angeles and the latter is Oklahoma City,  IIRC.

And doesn't NYC have a reputation for about the worst mail service in  the country?
