Re:(erielack) Erie in Nyack



Keith -- after youcross the Thruway, keep going north.  The Erie ROW crossed the Thruway to your right; it's a rail-trail now.  It simply went north through South Nyack (little station there) and ended just south of the main drag in Nyack.  There was a turntable, station, and three tracks for runaround and storage.  I haven't been there in years, but I would expect the clues to be evident, at least until the turntable.  I'll bet that's gone to parking or development  --  that might even have happened after dieselization :  they didn't turn the RS's.

Is there any evidence of the Erie row or any buildings left in Nyack? Where  exactly was the erie station located in Nyack? 
I followed the Northern branch north from closter this afternoon but lost it  coming into Nyack..any thoughts?
