The first ground for the Erie was broken at Deposit , New York. November. 7, 1835.
Here's a photo of the Station with an Erie GP-7. The insert you see is a reproduction of the plaque that's mounted in the monument that you saw accross from the F-7's in the previous overhead photo I sent.
Since they (The Railroad?) moved the marker was the groundbreaking 1 mile east or west of the current location of the marker?
