Folks,

I thought the DL&W modelers would like to see my NPP HO DL&W 4-6-4 which I just got back from custom painting. The original model was extensively re-detailed with CalScale and PSC castings, and a Soundtraxx DCC sound system was installed. It was custom painted and weathered based on photos of No.1152 in the Morning Sun book, Lackawanna Railroad Trackside by Mike Del Vecchio (photos by Henry Peterson).

Those of you familiar with the original NPP model, know how crude these models were, besides not being mechanically very smooth.

Unfortunately, the person who did the detailing and mechanical work no longer does this work, but the custom painter is Dennis Regan who lives in Virginia. The photos don't really do justice to the superb painting and weathering job that Dennis did for me.
