RE: (erielack) Feedwater heaters

The expert information we've been getting on feedwater heaters, from Rich
Young and others on the list, is overwhelming.  I never expected anything
like it.  A couple of questions for Rich Young:  I'm a laymnan when it
comes to the Erie, (or any railroad,) therefore, out of curiosity, what was
the AMC?  And, a little more personal, how come you're up to your armpits
in a Worthington SA 4 1/2 hot water pump?  Is it going in a steam engine,
or something more prosaic?
