Re: (erielack) Sterling Mt. Ry

The Sterline MOuntain Railway was, I believe, and iron ore hauler that tied the Erie to the mines in Sterling Mountain.  There are several places where you can view the remains of the SMRR, which ran parallel to and under the bed of Sloatsburg Road, just north of Ringwood and West Milford, NJ.  The actual junction was obliterated when the Sterling Mine Road exit and overpass off of Route 17 was constructed.
