Re: (erielack) Port Jervis-Hawley-Honesdale

Rick

What do alleged license plates have to do with those riding the Port Jervis Line and not those living in NJ or NY have cars registered there because of different auto laws?

Here in CT I see many PA, NJ, NY plates daily and does not indicate they live there. Even the manager of McDonald's, Stamford drives a van with PA Plates, but she does not live there.

CT has one law NH and NY do not have ans is a pricey "Property Tax" on autos registered there on top of license and registration. If the tax is not paid after car is Booted in 30 days the car is towed to s shop where it costs more to get out. Rough state.

Jim,

Thanks for the information. If this is the case, then it's up to PA and
Pike County in particular to push for the service. I've seen the license plates
at Port Jervis and Middletown. And yes, the addition of a bar car as the CT
commuters have would be an instant success.

I think we're on the verge of witnessing change when it comes to commuter
travel patterns. We'll see what the next few years bring but again, it's up
to the people.
