(erielack) DL&W, Kearny Jct 1960s-1970s



Just to give credit to the source of these photos and the write up (below) that got passed on to the Erielack list yesterday (see below) - this is from Ralph Shelhamer, who hired on with CNJ as a towerman and eventually went to the non-agreement side of Conrail (agreements and real estate)  and retired two or three years ago.  I believe his boss for a number of years was Bill Sheppard. Certainly some interesting photos.

Great find and annotation job!  They say (I have no idea who 'they' are)

that a picture is worth a thousand words and I will probably end up writing

that many words about this photo.  It revives many memories from my early

days on the railroad as well as my final days on the railroad.
