RE: (erielack) Common foreign roadnames on DL&W

Brian,

This will get you started. Schuyler posted a consist for NE-6 a few years
ago; here's the link:

Scroll to the bottom. NE-6 was a fairly representative train out of Buffalo,
it will give you an idea.

Hi,

I hope someone can help you here as I am considering an O scale ficticious
Erie layout supposed to be near Middletown NY. I was going down the EL road
but fancied having a car or two from the O & W so have decided to model mid
fifties just before the demise of the Old & Weary. I look forward to replies
to your query.

Cheers

Chris

would seem typical for the time and place. Were there any foreign roads'
freight cars that seemed to appear on the Lackawanna more than others? I'm
guessing friendly connections might be a good place to start. Would I be
correct in assuming Nickle Plate and Wabash for starters? What about New
England roads like New Haven, Boston & Maine and Delaware & Hudson? Should I
just follow the roads that had the biggest rosters (PRR, NYC, B&O, ATSF,
MILW SP) of cars? I plead -- and apologize for my -- ignorance.
