       It would be nice of some of that money were spent to enhance the 
historic and visual qualities of the stations.  When high-level platforms were 
constructed along the line by Metro-North, little or no consideration was given to 
esthetics or historic preservation, and the result is a visually unappealing 
series of stations, where unattractive concrete platforms obstruct and clash 
with beautiful historic buildings. It would be nice if something could be done 
to ameliorate this situation.
