I just got the 4 unit F-3 set (#714) and found that the Erie diamonds on the sides of the A units are placed over the top of the rear truck.  I always thought, on the freight units, they were centered over the fuel tanks.  I checked on the Walthers web site and the 714A-B set pictured seems to have it right (920-31422) but the 714D-C has it placed wrong (920-31423) as on both of the sets I got.

As 714 was the ex-O&W unit and the last F set the Erie probably received, I can not imagine the different placement of the herald on the A units.

Does anyone know what is up over there at Walthers?  It is an incorrect placement, isn't it?  I know I can fix it by removing the factory applied herald and using an Accu-Cal decal in the right position, but I wish the factory had done it right.  I was hoping the picture of 714D-C was just a mistake on a pilot model!
