(erielack) Re: Pocono Chrysler Facility

Clarification: there were four tracks for unloading, each with a capacity of
8 cars, for a total capacity of 32 cars? What was the range of carloads
unloaded here per day? Was there a single unloading ramp which moved from
track to track on its own rails?

When the flour mill was constructed, the DL merely upgraded the four auto
ramp stub tracks, and added two longer tracks, one for unloading and another
for loading. Also we upgraded the ramp lead with heavier rail and pandral
clips, and upgraded the run around siding along the main. So in essance all
of the Chrysler Auto Ramp track is still there, including the adjustabale
Buck Loader used to drive the cars off of the auto racks.
