Don't forget the DL&W bridge on the Passaic River at Newark, just
east of Broad Street station! This was a two-level spinner with
several roles. When built, the lower level served all trains. The
grade crossing elimination raised the passenger tracks to use the
upper level, while the lower level was used for freight service to a
yard where the former Lincoln Motel still stands. Now, only the
upper level is used.

The other major center-pivo bridge in the area, though off-topic, is
the ex-New York Central Spuyten Duyvil bridge, now used by Amtrak.
