Re: (erielack) Former Utica line status...



I very much doubt that any track will be officially abandoned.  The right of 
way by itself is a valuable asset for various utility lines, such as the 
proposed power transmission line from Utica to the New York area.  Any 
abandonment would risk having the land revert to adjacent landowners. So I 
am sure that this is a "temporary" situation.
