I'm afraid I can't really help you. My analysis was taken from the
consist sheets on the ELHS web site and reflects what might have
been more common toward the end of the EL. I can only speculate
that in general, southeastern railroads would have been comparatively
less common and midwestern and western roads more common,
as a large percentage of the traffic would have been more west-east.

I hope someone can help you here as I am considering an O scale ficticious Erie
layout supposed to be near Middletown NY. I was going down the EL road but
fancied having a car or two from the O & W so have decided to model mid fifties
just before the demise of the Old & Weary. I look forward to replies to your
query.
